The ECO4 scheme (Energy Companies Obligation) is a Government-backed energy efficiency programme regulated by OFGEM, that provides grants and funding to homeowners, landlords and private tenants who want to install energy-saving measures in their home at no cost, fully funded through the scheme. ECO4 aims to support the least energy efficient homes in the country, with a focus on low-income and vulnerable households. The scheme will see the Big 6 Utility companies working with home energy companies, like ourselves, local authorities and housing associations to make sure they are doing their part to achieve an overall better energy efficiency rating and to reduce home energy bills. The ECO4 Scheme requires someone within your household to be in receipt of certain qualifying benefits - please see the criteria below.

The survey is totally free of charge, carried out by 1 energy surveyor and will take around 1 hour or less, depending on your level of questions and size of your property. This survey is crucial and will determine what energy efficiency measures you can apply for to make your home more energy efficient whilst the funding is available to use.
The part our customers love......the good news!! - Once your energy survey has been completed and sent over to our technical team - Our Glasgow office will be in touch around 3-5 working days later with a full detailed proposal for your property outlining the heating and insulation upgrades you are entitled to for free through the allocated energy funding. We treat every proposal as a 'full house' project and we will provide recommendations on both heating and insulation measures highlighted on your energy survey report which will significantly increase the energy efficiency of your home.
Following the good news - the next step is to proceed to a technical survey visit. We will arrange for a member/s of the assigned installation team to attend your property at a convenient date/time to go over the installation in more technical detail with you, answering any installation-related questions you may have and generally to ensure you fully understand how the works will be carried out, where the products will be places i.e Solar panels, ASHP, wires/cables, pipes, the timescales, products, warranties, disruption (if any) and to ensure you are happy with everything before an Installation date is booked for the works to commence and for your free energy efficiency products to be installed.
Following your technical survey visit we will then book a date for the installation work to start. Again, we will fully explain all works and answer any further questions you may have at this point. After the installation is complete you will be left with a full detailed handover completion paperwork pack detailing all workmanship warranties, product guarantees and installation/certification documents to keep safe with your records for the installation. A member of the installation team will give you a full working demonstration of your new products and any operating instructions required to ensure you are comfortable with your new products and the use of them.
